Happy New Year to all! We have had a blessed 2009. We added a new person to our family, Ava Selina. We have had 3 lay offs, and 3 new jobs within 1-3 weeks of being laid off. We have add a new(ish) car to our brigade to accommodate our growing family and Jimmy's growing collection of tools, lol. We have moved to a new home. We have become more involved in the Movement, becoming Life Group Leaders and servants to the church. We feel blessed beyond measure and are ready to bless others in the up coming year.
Our theme for the New Year is "Less is more." We are going to try to save up for a down payment on our first home, so we will be making big efforts to be thrifty and put as much money away as possible. Also, eating less and exercising more. Our Christmas gift to ourselves was Wii and Wii Fit, so we have the resources and no excuses! We are also trying to maximize the time we spend together as a family. We are trying to reduce the amount of time wasted on other things and try to read the Bible and be together more. We have a lot of big things we want to do, but what better time then the start of a new decade to make some big changes!
Tucker is adjusting to be being brother beautifully! He loves taking care of Ava and teaching her new things. His new favorite thing is being her backstop so she doesn't fall over when she is sitting up. Our favorite quote over the last couple months is when he went to see Santa he saw Santa reach for a candy cane. He told Santa, "I can't have that, I have cavities."
Ava is also doing well. She is now 17+lbs at 4 months old. She is 75% percentile in height and off the charts in weight! She is sitting up and starting to roll over with help. She is one of the happiest babies we have ever seen, all you have to do to make her smile is look at her. We have been blessed with 2 very happy children!
We hope your holiday's were as fun as ours and hope to see you soon!
